United Way Achieves New Record
"It was another record breaking year for us with a campaign achievement of just over $3.75 million,” announced Joanne Grant, CEO of United Way of Regina. The announcement of the achievement was made at the Annual Circle of Care Celebration Wrap Up and Spirit Award Luncheon. The Spirit Awards celebrate excellence in workplace campaigns all across the city and recognize outstanding efforts made by our volunteers.
“It is a remarkable achievement by our donors and volunteers. Even in the face of these uncertain economic times, the citizens of Regina demonstrated their overwhelming compassion and caring for their community. On behalf of everyone that will benefit from this generosity, I say thank you. Because of you, together we are changing lives in our community,” said Grant in front of 500 assembled guests as Queensbury Downs.
The Circle of Care Campaign involves over 400 workplace campaigns and hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of individual donors. United Way of Regina remains Regina’s largest non-governmental funder of human services. United Way of Regina directly supports 33 funded partners.
“We asked Regina this year to LIVE UNITED and they did. Citizens across this city, reached out their hand, to touch and help another, in doing so they are making this community a better place for all us,” said Grant
