Dr. Seuss Reading Day
Friday, February 27, 2015
Make Friday, February 27 a special day by joining United Way volunteers to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading to children!
We need you to take 90 minutes of time out of your day to change the life of a child by sharing the magic of reading to children in small groups in a school classroom.
As a volunteer, you will experience firsthand the difference you can make in a child’s life — and create a memory you and the students will always remember. Volunteers will share the importance of literacy, read fun books and talk with some great kids.
Over the next five years, United Way Regina will place a priority on investing in the Focus Area of All That Kids Can Be. This investment will allow us to support specific programs and initiatives that improve educational outcomes for Regina’s children and lead to an improved quality of life.
Over the next five years, we will launch multiple strategies and initiatives focused on the target outcome: improving educational outcomes for Regina’s children. Read more . . .
