Tribute Luncheon

Distinguished Corporate Philanthropy Awards

Each year, United Way of Regina recognizes a select number of its corporate partners for their exceptional contributions to the organization and to the community.

The Distinguished Corporate Philanthropy Awards are dedicated to outstanding corporate community support, and to the spirit of leadership in building a stronger community as a whole.

Farm Credit Canada

As a member of Imagine Canada, FCC gives one per cent of its profits to charitable and not-for-profit community organizations, through donations of financial resources and in-kind services. This reflects their fervent belief that corporations have an obligation to give back to the communities in which they operate.

FCC employees have a passion for their communities and dedicate thousands of volunteer hours to charities across Canada.

Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life

With a goal of building Stronger Communities Together™, Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life are working with non-profit, charitable and community organizations in Regina and across Canada to collaborate, share knowledge and best practices, and build their collective capacity to address shared issues of concern to Canadians.

Through The Key to Giving™, their national corporate citizenship program, the companies contribute to non-profit, charitable and community organizations across the country to address health and wellness, education, social services, arts and culture and civic initiatives.

President Award

The President’s Award was established to recognize individuals or groups that have made outstanding contributions to our community and to United Way.

Recipients of the Award are honoured with a signed, framed print of a private collection original by internationally known Regina artist Joe Fafard. Entitled “Need and Response”, the theme of protection and caring is an appropriate reflection of the values of United Way and those honoured by the Award.

Eunice Cameron

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” - Dale Carnegie

This quote sums up the determination and courage of this year’s President’s Award recipient - Eunice Cameron, former Executive Director of Cornwall Alternative School. She is a “Regina” girl, graduating from Herchmer and Scott Collegiate. Over her rich career, her compassion and caring have touched many lives. She is fiercely proud of her family and her grandchildren are the light of her life.
