Job Description: One of the main goals and roles of Summer Fun Volunteers is to assist participants with engaging in activities to their fullest potential. Through the guidance and supervision of the Program Facilitators, volunteers assist with adressing & minimizing typical barriers to participation and finding creative accomodations that allow for full particiaption. Volunteers are very hands on. Orientation is provided. Training and feedback from Program Facilitators is ongoing.
Hours of Work: The Summer Fun Program runs from the begining of July to the middle of August. Programming for children 6-14 takes place from 1:00 to 3:00pm Monday thru Thursday, programming for youth ages 15-22 takes placef from 7:00pm-9:00pm Monday thru Thursday.
Volunteer Requirements: Strong interest in workig with children and youth with disabilities & helping to insure they have fun. Volunteers will be able to choose the dates & times that fir their schedule. It is ideal if volunteers can commit to several hours over the course of the program. Provision of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerabe Sector Search from the Regina Police Service is required from the volunteers. (no charge for this)
