Job Description: The Heart of the City Program aims to enhance the lives and learning oppurtunities for at-risk children and youth through a structured music program that continues throughout the school year. Volunteers are required to donate one hour a week to teach piano lessons to very eager beginner students. Lessons take place during school hours within some of community schools here in Regina. The piano program supplies all of the music resources and instruments.
Hours of Work: 8:30am-3:30pm (Sept - May)
Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must have a grade 4 conservatory level or equivalent piano skills. No prior teaching experience is required.

Job Description: We require museum guides to work with school groups visiting the museum for learning activites. The guides will lead groups of up to 15 students, typically grades 3, 4, or 5. Under the direction of the Museum Educator, guides will facilitate exhibit interpretation and hands-on activities. Museum visits are 1 hour in length, with 15 minutes prep and clean-up before and afterwards. Programs will be occasional from March through June, and program times will vary.
Hours of Work: 2 hour shifts: typically 9:30 - 11:00am or 1:30 - 3:00pm
Volunteer Requirements: Experience and interest in working with children in groups; reliability; excellent verbal communication skills. Education students, retired teachers, or others with teaching experience are ideal.
