Job Description: The peer support program matches people living with cancer to volunteers who are cancer survivors. Volunteers are screened and trained to provide emotional support, to listen, and to use their own cancer experience to provide information about living with cancer. Volunteers must also have completed treatment more than one year ago, be over the age of 18, and be diagnosed with cancer less than ten years ago.
Hours of Work: Flexible
Volunteer Requirements: Must have experienced cancer; willing to participate in training. Must be able to keep information confidential, be a good listener, be reliable and be responsible.
